WISE@QMUL Virtual International Women’s Day Conference 2021

WISE@QMUL Virtual International Women’s Day Conference 2021 25 MarchMar 2021 09:00 - 26 MarchMar 2021 17:00

On 25th-26th March 2021, WISE@QMUL will celebrate International Women’s Day through a two-day virtual conference with the themes of ‘Ethnic Minority Women in STEMM’, and ‘Future Directions and Priorities for Women in STEMM’. This is a unique opportunity to celebrate women in the field of science and engineering who have had remarkable journeys and broken glass ceilings, whilst encouraging young female scientists to pursue careers in STEMM.

Our expert speakers will share their brilliant work and career experiences with the next generation of women in STEMM at QMUL and beyond. The conference will be a prime opportunity to provide the audience with examples of STEMM careers and views on the future of women in STEMM and the experiences of BAME women in STEMM. Ranking first place for equality and diversity this year, we hope to build on the work already done by staff and students at QMUL and contribute towards being “the most inclusive university of its kind, anywhere”.
